January 26, 2004Been follwing the progress via your posts - really came out nice! VERY nice work.
I think you should have your brakes also wired to an airhorn to wake up some of the comatose drivers.
January 27, 2004Looks good. You could sell that and make some money.

January 27, 2004CREWZIN,
I really didn't think that your brake light overlay hide you brake light that much, but you were right, it really cut it down.
I can see clearly now that the rain....that you needed that 4th brake light.
Where did you get that light? I have a spolier, not like yours that I could do this with, I want something similar to that, could you help me out?
January 27, 2004KingKole,
I found the paint/body shop here in Crystal River 3 years ago when I moved down here. They've painted my bumpers, mirrors, flames and engine parts and the body shop guy I deal with is real good at fabricating. The whole process was custom made from a piece taken from a car that had an LED strip light and was custom fitted into the spoiler that I already had. I did find the exact light on the web:
http://www.hamsar.com/chmsl.htm and I bought the Model CHMSL -200 so I have a spare if I need it.
There was a lot of work involved in fitting the light into the solid spoiler mainly because the spoiler doesn't have a flat spot in the middle (it's a continuous curve) and the light is a 16 1/4" straight piece so he had to build up the center of the spoiler to meet the straight edge of the light. Wires had to be hidden and the whole thing painted over to match.
January 27, 2004Sounds like he had to put some effort into it, but it looks nice!
