January 20, 2003Saw it! That was pretty cool. I wouldn't want the chips to fall back on the top of the car like that. I loved that paint job, the real wood panels, the air bags and the front. That was a sweet ride they did!

January 20, 2003That paint job was awsom. I wouldn't have thought those high tech wheels would go with the wood kit but it looked really good.
January 20, 2003I had to watch it twice... That was cool!!!!!!
Love the showing of all of PTeazers cars...
January 20, 2003Awesome episode! By far, my favorite. I loved the Jesse James signature series 20" chrome rims and Toyo tires and air suspension. The paint job and veneer woodie applique was out of this world, easily a 4-5 thousand dollar "freebie".
January 21, 2003That would be an awesome freebie for anyone's Cruiser for sure! I'd be happy just with the air bags or the front. I loved the other PTeazer's riding around. That was so cool. Watching the beginning, I now know how to "clean" the Cruiser out if I wanted to majorly change the inside . . . . . pry and rip the crap out and sling it against the wall and floor! I don't think I'll ever do this unless I get some freebies too.

January 21, 2003That was a cool color they cooked up. I couldn't help but notice the fenders were bouncing on the tires when they did the airbag thing. I'm not sure if that answers Hawaiian PT's question about running 20"s front and back but it was looking good.
All in a day's cruise...
January 21, 2003The budget went out the window with the paint and the wheels. Great color. You had to cringe when the chips were falling on the Cruiser. Wonder what happens to it after the show. I bet it will be at a few shows and be changed back to a normal Cruiser and sold
January 21, 2003Greg,
I dought that they can put it back together without spending nearlly the cost of the PT itself the way they were ripping and torching things out and throwing them away. They could just rip the mulching machine out of there and patch it up a little bit...I'm sure someone would buy it.
Also, I think I remember seeing the windows open while they were mulching the trees in the street scene. What a mess that would be inside the PT.
January 21, 2003oooo...that air bag/damped strut setup was awesome - $1350 half price? Whew! Guess you gotta pay the dough, if you wanna get LOW! Would love a setup like that with the 20's, but I'm afraid my wife would blow a gasket! BTW, 20's are tough in the PT wheel wells, but it looked as though they were hitting or scuffing the fenderwells in the show (front ones looked like they stuck out from the fender too) - dunno if that was due to the offset of the wheels though. I said I would never slam the Dreamer because of the carpy roads here, but an air suspension would be the way to go...
January 21, 2003I saw somewhere GregsPT that the cars they customize on the show are kept and traveled around to major car shows and setup there for people to admire. I can't remember where I saw this but at one car show they had the green mustang, the porsche, and the limo all beside each other with everything showing. It looked pretty cool. I dunno if they would ever sell any of those cars to the public, could you imagne the ciaos the black Porsche could do to property with that triple barrel golf ball cannon? Unreal!
But I did learn something new from the PT show, I learned that 29 clowns could fit inside a PT Cruiser all at the same time! Pretty awesome factoid.
