February 2, 2006I have decided that the bulbs that are in my headlights, just don't cut it for the snow and fog in the winters here in Utah. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what to replace the headlight bulbs in my 2002 Limited with.
February 3, 2006I bought the cool blue bulbs from Autozone and made a huge difference. I've also seen much better bulbs but have not yet purchased, Xenon, really bright white-and legal!!!!
February 3, 2006The Sylvanias are good, try the Silverstars. Your best bet would be to upgrade to an HID conversion kit, ~$200-300.
Another upgrade that really helps in the fog/rain is to use ion yellow bulbs in the fog lights.
February 3, 2006I was thinking about the blue bulbs, but I am not sure they are legal in CA..I see people with them all the time. I guess I can check with the DMV or something...They look pretty cool when they are blue..and BRIGHT...not quite as bright as the LED tails you guys have!! lol
February 3, 2006I went to the Super White Sylvania bulbs for both headlight and fog lights. Definately an improvement. Got them from Wal-Mart and they both fit right in without a problem, although I did first take out the wrong headlight (high beam) before realizing I had the wrong one. Believe me, the high beam isn't real easy to take out or put back in so a lot of time and skinned knuckels wasted there.
February 5, 2006Went with the Sylvania SilverStar for the low beams. WOW what a difference. I would recommend, even at $20 per bulb. The covers inside the wheel wells are a pain to get of. Someone "Chrysler" should think of a better way of changing the bulbs.
February 5, 2006It's easier to unscrew the forward portion of the well liner, I saw that little panel in there an it didn't even wanna open for me. The screws are rite inside the edge of the well an there r 3 or 4 of them. That's wot I did when I put in my Oogah Horn. Is that wot u ended up doing too?
February 6, 2006No, I wrestled with the panel and finally got them off. I took a small flathead screwdriver and just pryed it out. Are the fog lights going to be the same? I have not looked yet to see how to change them.
February 6, 2006The fog lights are easier. At least I though so. Just some cladding in the way. It's been awhile since I changed to the Sylvania super whites on the fogs but I think there's just one fastener to undo to bend the clading out of the way to gain access.
February 6, 2006That may be next weekends project....I wish I could say I had more mods, but lighs seem to be a functional use of cash for right now.
