April 9, 2007I will have the rear hatch wing shaved as well, But I will keep the key lock functional. so if there is ever a time that I have a dead battery I can open the Hatch to pop the hood.

April 9, 2007Q and Dave, smooth is beautiful!! On cars too. lol....Hey just be carefull. I'v heard horror stories of driving and accidentally hitting the remote popper and the door flies open causing major damage!! ....Or the filler around the welds of the handles cracking from vibration. These are first hand accounts from the owners. So be carefull bruddahs!!! You 2 have sick ass rides and I wouldn't want to see them buggered up!!
April 10, 2007You're scaring me Poi, thanks for the heads up though on the welds /cracks!
April 10, 2007Qman, awesome new gallery man!!!! I like the photoshop of your PT. There's definately some other killer PT's too!!!!
April 10, 2007I love a clean look, I want to shave the hood wing, squirter's, rear hatch wing, and fill the hole under the rear wing, door handles, side spears and fill the recess where the spears go, rear roll pan. the rest will be seen after I get the PT out of the paint booth.
April 14, 2007v been dooling over this mod myelf, although its a far future project. However I have a bunch of links for some nice priced parts I can pass along if your still looking for brands and equipment options
April 15, 2007Yes please do, post the links that is!
April 19, 2007having done it to previous cars just do it right and you will have no issues get a popper installed in a secret location so if ur popper's battery dies then you can still get into your car, make sure you get the best sheet metal and weld properly then prep and paint and get good stuff and you should be fine. im thinking about doing it when i save up some more cash!!
April 19, 2007I wish I had the money to do that, I love the clean look that shaved handles gives.
April 20, 2007I can do the welding & cutting myself all I'm lacking is the equipment (mig welders etc.). Maybe I'll look into renting a welder if thats possible or just buy one outright!
