April 13, 2007The lower section just goes over the grille. It mounts with long screws and plates on the back site. It is a PITA to put on if you have large hands. But mine has been on for over a year and it has never come loose. You can find them on eBay and the guy starts them off at 69.00. The sell for between 125.00 & 200.00
Mine still looks as good as the day I bought it. it makes a huge difference to the loo of the fornt end. And you can still use it with some of the body kits...
April 13, 2007Yep, same as mine, got it on eBay for $187.00. LUV the looks.
April 14, 2007If you want to go all out you can get the TRENZ billet grill. I think they were $880 for top and bottom but I found mine on sale for about $580. They come in vertical or horizontal and mount the same way.

April 16, 2007If you get a billet and not chrome, just the front face is shiny, the rest is black. I bought a used N/A grill for my daughter's GT, and put the lower piece on using black zip ties thru the stoc grill. The ties are all but invisible, and far easier than the clamping methods some use.
On a chrome one, the support rods are also chrome, and zip ties might show up.
April 16, 2007cruzin...When I put my billet grill on, I removed the old one and painted flat black BEHIND the grill area, above the bumper. If I were to do it again, I would tape off and spray paint the area that is BEHIND the new lower part of the grill. I didn't do that and I wish to heavens I would have!
That way, you can't see the color of your car behind the grill and when/if you put LED's in there, they will not reflect off different colors. You could even put a contrasting color behind there, if you're doing LED's.
Otherwise, just use black. Good luck and just have fun with it....if you like it, it will reward you many times over!!

We have different lighting regulations over the pond in the UK. All I have done is take out the amber indicator bulb ( fried egg look) and replace it with a chrome bulb that flashes amber when on. It gets through our yearly `MOT` test with no problems. Most owners over here have changed out their bulbs.
