April 26, 2007Hey Everyone,
After nose diving my ride into a dip on accident a few weeks ago, and snapping the lip on my lower front vallance, I have been trying to come up with a better solution to fixing it, rather than buying a new one.
I know if I replace it, it is still no doubt gonna scrape again, so my solution I have come up with, is to fabricate a custom lip out of 1/4" diamond plate, and have it coated with Orange tinted Rhino-Liner, so it should be able to handle day to day abuse, and still look good.
I figure I can run it through a roller to get the arc I need, and then weld another plate on top of the new lip, and drill a few holes, allowing me to bolt it directly to the bottom of the existing vallance using rounded carrige bolts.
So, what do you think??? Lip...No lip???
