May 20, 2007Anyone find an adaptable heater/cooler for the cup holders? Like the ones in the Dodge Averager? It's a mod I think I'd like to do!

May 21, 2007Don't know Mik, I've seen this on comercials for the dodge though.
Glad to hear from ya again buddy!!!! Thought we lost ya' in the PT world!!??
May 21, 2007New Sebring has that, too. I believe it uses Peltier module to cool - all solid state, but I don't know for sure. Haven't seen anything seperately for sale, other than small heater/cooler boxes.
May 21, 2007Thanks for the shout there, JefF! I've been tending Nancy's cancer...Radiation was 2 hrs away in Bremerton! So we camped there for the last four months, comin' home on the weekends to do laundry and tend animals.
Anyway, I think I want this to be my next electrical mod!
I searched for peltier module, Don, and came up with a few good hits. The best one I found (I hope this link works!)is for a dash-mounted cup holder!
...just click the link, I can't fix it.
May 22, 2007Mik,
Here's the one QSD was talking about. Can't see why you can't visit the dealer and ask about parts that can be bought and added to the PT.
The 2007 Chrysler Sebring features illuminated cupholders that can be cooled or heated (as shown). A similar feature for the 2008 Dodge and Chrysler minivans would undoubtedly be a welcome product feature.
May 22, 2007That's true, Carey. The working element is placed in a cup holder and wired thru the side...someone handy could do that.
