May 24, 2007A flat bladed screwdriver or a Torx T-30 will do the job of unscrewing the single bolt. The taillight is held on by two spring-loaded pieces, one on each side. Just hold the taillight at the bottom (wide part) and slowly slide it down towards the floor about an inch or two and pull out after the catches let go. The bulbs holders twist out.
May 24, 2007sounds like a simple install. i would love my first modification to be some 18" rims but thats probably gonna be aways away. so i think ill start with smaller details like some interior pieces, and the tail lights
May 24, 2007Plenty of taillights out there to choose from. Mostly they are just plug and play, which means you just unhook your and plug them into the new lights. I just added the Cadallac taillights and actually had to rewire them to work, but it was pretty easy.
May 24, 2007Forget your old tools. Get a Torx wrench set...there are a lot of Torx screws in the PT. Get a set with a screwdriver handle...very useful.

May 25, 2007What kind of taillights are you looking into?? Undecided?? If you want to go for something way brighter than stock, and you like the chrome look, these LED taillights are definately a good way to go. To hook these up just unclip the stock plug for a regular bulb and the led's have a new plug that fits right in, very easy. These come in chrome, smoked and black, and also come with amber turnsignals or in all red. Check them out on raceandstreet.com.
May 25, 2007im not into bling on everything, i like chrome, ive already seen a few chrome things im gonna buy, but i think i want the tail lights smoked out. ive seen a few on ebay that are SAE/DOT approved, that i think will look good. heres the link to what im looking for:
this is the grill im lookin at, its not chrome but will that be noticable?
May 26, 2007The smoked tails are pretty cool, can't blame ya' on the low bidding price either. The link for the grill says"cannot be displayed". Which grill on autotrucktoys??
