July 28, 2008I guess not many of the members know that this forum is back on-line. I''ll post a couple things to get some of the threads started.
A trick I leaned in attending the hundreds of car shows that I go to is the cleaning (deep) of the wheels. Everybody knows how to clean wheels but have you looked at the holes where the lug nuts are. If you attend shows *or* just want your car (any car) looking it''s best. When you take the wheels off, *or* just one lug nut at a time if that''s easier, take some chrome polish *or* any polish if you don''t have chrome wheels and deep clean the lug nut holes. They can shine just like the outside of the wheels. Use a little elbow grease and you''d be surprised how clean and shiny that can be. Give the lug nuts themselves a good wipe before putting them back on. If you take the wheels off, like every oil change *or* every other oil change to rotate the wheels, turn them over and clean and polish the inside of the wheels too. Only takes a few minutes per wheel and gives it a 100% better look.
